In a career behind the camera spanning 15 years, Michael has mastered several modes of visual storytelling. He earned an M.F.A. in Film Production from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, where he was nominated for the Kodak Scholarship and twice received the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant. He has shot three feature films and dozens of short films, music videos and television pilots, as well as conceiving and executing innovative new media ad campaigns for clients in multiple verticals. Additionally, Michael's documentary video work with non-profits and NGOs including the African Education Program, Brigaid and Rebuilding Together supports their fundraising and awareness efforts.
Michael is also an accomplished visual journalist, having captured spot news, editorial and documentary images on five continents. His photography has been featured by Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, New York Magazine, Yahoo, The Guardian, Huffington Post, New Scientist and Mother Jones.
