Michael Candelori is a New York-based cinematographer who has been capturing visual media for nearly two decades. He has lensed six feature films, ranging from crime thriller to mockumentary, along with dozens of short-form and series projects, as well as purpose-driven digital storytelling for brands and non-profits. His collaboration with organizations including the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, African Education Program and Friends World Committee for Consultation supports fundraising and advocacy efforts.

Michael is also an accomplished visual journalist, having captured breaking news, editorial, and reportage images on five continents. His far-reaching coverage, with a particular focus on U.S. politics and social justice movements, has been featured by a wide cross-section of media including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Time, National Geographic, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Playboy, Variety, Sports Illustrated, Vice and Axios.

Michael is a member of the Society of Camera Operators and the National Press Photographers Association. He earned an M.F.A. in Film Production from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, where he was twice selected for the Panavision New Filmmaker Program.
