In a career behind the camera spanning 15 years, Michael has mastered several modes of visual storytelling. He earned an M.F.A. in Film Production from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University, where he was nominated for the Kodak Scholarship and twice received the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant. He has shot three feature films and dozens of short-form projects including music videos, pilots, and short docs, as well as purpose-driven storytelling for clients in retail, medicine and tech. Michael's documentary video work with non-profits including the African Education Program, Brigaid and Rebuilding Together supports their fundraising and awareness efforts.

Michael is also an accomplished visual journalist, having captured breaking news, editorial and documentary images on five continents. His far-reaching coverage, with a particular focus on national politics and social activism movements, has been featured by a wide cross-section of media including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Time, National Geographic, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Playboy, Variety, The Guardian, Sports Illustrated, New York Magazine, New York Post, Vice, The Intercept, and Axios.
